Bedi Investments Limited (B.I.L.) was incorporated in 1972 and started its first garment production in 1976.
Over the years, BIL backward integrated its production to manufacture fabrics and yarns making it a unique compositemill i.e. spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing and garment manufacturing.Products manufactured by BIL qualify for duty and quota free access into the following markets.
EU under the Lome convention between ACP/EU countries.
USA under the Africa growth and opportunity act (AGOA).
Comesa countries under the Free trade area.
BIL is also highly versatile and can conform to customers' specifications.
BIL has the most modern machinery, which with continued investments has kept abreast with the fast growing technology in the textile industry to meet its market requirements. Over the years production capacities have multiplied with current production as follows:-
Yarns ------- 1,080 tons per annum;
Fabrics ---------- 2.8 million metres per annum;
Apparel ------------1.4 million pieces per annum
